Brits are likely to get mad with PC’s
Surprisingly, according to an article posted by TechEYE.net - http://www.techeye.net/hardware/britons-more-likely-to-get-angry-with-pcs-than-humans - Britons are more likey to get mad at their computers than at their partners. So it seems that most of us get more mad at when our computer crashes rather than after looking at the latest credit card bill of your partner’s or if they happen to spend too much time at the pub.
Online security software company AVG found out that almost half of the people who took the survey lost their temper most at their PC instead of anything else. 3,000 people took part in this surprising survey, with the top three reasons as to why they were annoyed was due to the PC’s crashing, too many pop ups or simply being too slow to work.
The findings of the survey also found out that one in ten computer users did not use anti-virus protection on their computers, and a quarter of the users lost information on their PC due to a virus, and the average household has two PC’s.
Managing Director of AVG UK, Mike Forman, on these results said “It’s astonishing how much we store on our personal computers today and how open we can leave ourselves to cyber criminals.”
It seems that people are more mad at their computers being slow to react compared to a cheap gas cooker being too slow to cook their food, with more people using computers for their day to day activities, it is no wonder that when they break down it halts their lives. People storing more and more data on these computers also face a tragedy if they lose the data to a virus without backing up and using appropriate software.
